Sandra Katharine Davidson is an art and media creator, producer and director from North Carolina. She works in multiple mediums: video, audio, writing, and photography. A folklorist by training, she makes work about art, women, relationships, Southern culture, and the human spirit. 

Her work is rooted in a strong sense of place. A lifelong North Carolinian, she grew up rural and currently resides in Durham. For a decade now, she’s produced multimedia documentary stories about life and culture in N.C.

In 2015 she cofounded and co-directed Bit & Grain, a weekly digital publication about life and culture in North Carolina that she produced stories for through 2017. From 2017-2021, she creative directed three statewide arts marketing campaigns for the N.C. Arts Council. While there she produced stories with and about artists shaped by and shaping the culture of North Carolina. She also co-wrote, produced and hosted Under One Roof, a live telethon that raised $50,000 for artists affected by the pandemic.

In 2022, she founded Peach Sky Media to pursue a career as a full-time artist, producer, and photographer.

She is currently developing and producing a number of film, television, and podcast projects with the Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Cynthia Hill. Early 2023 saw the premiere of four music videos she directed, filmed, and edited, the premiere the Future of Transportation, a commercial short film she produced for The Climate Pledge, and the premiere of Burden of Proof, a HBO-documentary she worked on as an associate producer.

She is actively seeking collaborations with artists and producers, and when time allows, she takes portrait photos for hire.
